TELANGANA DRINKING WATER SUPPLY PROJECT(TDWSP)

         The Government of Telangana have envisaged a Flagship Programme “Telangana Drinking Water Supply Project(TDWSP)” which envisages Tap Drinking water supply to all the habitations in the state of the Telangana, with enhancement of the present water supply level from the existing 40 LPCD to 100 LPCD in rural areas, 135 LPCD in Urban areas and 150 LPCD in the Corporations with various network of sources from the Godavari & Krishna River Basins in a time bound period of four years. Further the Honourable Chief Minister, Govt. of Telangana has instructed to make necessary provisions towards the Industrial requirements and also the Municipalities/Corporations by giving a tapping point at the location as desired by the Municipality/ Corporation .
               At the same time, the government has decided and ordered the RWS&S Department to provide drinking water supply to all the habitations, Municipalities and Municipal Corporations outside the Outer Ring Road(ORR) only(in Ranga Reddy District) and the drinking water supply to all the Habitations, G.P’s, Colonies and other Urban areas Inside of the ORR shall be takenup by the HMWS&SB under MAUD Department.
